Are all 2 speakers still working?
A sweep from 20Hz to 16kHz drives every driver in turn. Listen for rattle and buzz rather than loudness — a blown driver is usually still loud. Start with the Mac's own volume low: you are about to play tones through someone else's speakers.

The bottom of the sweep will be very quiet, and that is not a fault. No laptop speaker reproduces much below roughly 80–100Hz — there is nowhere to put a driver that could. The first second or two of the sweep being nearly silent is physics, not a blown woofer. What you are listening for down there is rattle: a buzz or a chassis vibration that arrives with the tone and stops with it.
The top of the sweep is deliberately turned down as it climbs. Your ear is far more sensitive around 3–5kHz than it is at 100Hz, so an untapered sweep would be painful by the end. It still drives every tweeter — a dead one goes silent on one side regardless of level.
Left and right prove the channels are routed and both sides are alive. They cannot isolate individual drivers within a side: macOS mixes the woofers and tweeters of a six-speaker system itself, and no web page can address them separately.
